Our Approach
Golden Charter Academy’s approach to education will equip students with academic literacy skills in Language Arts, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, and functional literacy skills for communication in everyday life
FOUNDATION
Place-Based Education is at the center of Golden Charter Academy’s philosophy. This approach leverages the use of the local community and environment, and emphasizes hands-on, real world learning experiences.
STRUCTURE
Universal Design for Learning is a mindset about designing learning experiences. It provides the structure for creating student interactions that are easy to access, easy to respond to, engaging, as well as rigorous and challenging.
METHOD
Environmental Education strategies will be applied to all subject areas and grades and serve as an engaging way to meet the content and skills identified in Common Core State Standards, English Language Arts and Mathematics, as well as Next Generation Science Standards and C3 Framework for Social Studies.

This nondiscrimination policy covers admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, all GCA programs and activities, including vocational education. The lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission to or participation in GCA programs or activities. Additional information prohibiting other forms of unlawful discrimination or harassment, inappropriate behavior, and/or hate crimes may be found in other School policies and are available in the Administration Office as well on our website. It is the intent of GCA that all such policies are reviewed consistently to provide the highest level of protection from unlawful discrimination in the provision of educational services and opportunities. GCA prohibits retaliation against anyone who files a complaint or who participates in a complaint investigation.
